Animoca Brands has come to an agreement to buy nWay the developer and publisher of Power Rangers: Legacy Wars for $7.69 million – $1.94 million in cash, and $5.75 million in shares. For the first eight months of 2019, nWay generated revenues of $6.98 million. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deal requires approval by shareholders, execution of a formal agreement, obtaining of the necessary regulatory approvals and due diligence satisfactory completion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based in San-Francisco, nWay develops and publishes triple-A games on consoles, PCs, and mobile platforms. nWay is also the developer of the platform nWayPlay that enables crossplay multiplayer real-time gameplay across different platforms. The platform features include crossplay and cross-progression, low-latency real-time multiplayer framework, live-ops tools, and geo-distributed hosting with custom matchmaking logic to provide optimal network gaming experience with stability and scalability, also providing a unified player identify and friends system, enabling players to log-in, connect and play together with friends across different platforms. Thus nWayPlay is aimed at dramatically reducing barriers to entry for the development of multiplayer online games, and empowering developers to create competitive multiplayer games. nWayPlay is expected to launch in 2020, now being available for alpha partners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
