The purchase price is SEK 88 million in cash and SEK 11 million in newly issued Embracer B-shares, plus a conditional earn-out, payable over 10-years to certain sellers who will remain with Tarsier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Little Nightmares is the best known title of Tarsier. The studio also developed VR puzzle title Statik, the rights to which pass to Embracer Group. As for the Little Nightmares, its ownership will remain to Bandai Namco, and Nintendo will retain its rights to Stretchers (a paramedic comical game that launched on Switch earlier 2019). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tarsier Studios will be working on new game titles upon completion of current projects under development, including Little Nightmares 2 for Bandai Namco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tarsier was founded 2005 in Karlshamn, has 15 years of games development experience as one of the largest independent studios in Sweden, focusing on development of Tripple-A adventure games and platform puzzles to primarily PC and console. Over the years, the company has worked primarily as a work-for-hire studio together with global publishing powerhouses such as Nintendo, Sony Interactive and Bandai Namco. The studio has also been successful in developing new original IPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
