Japanese publisher Bandai Namco has acquired Montreal-based Reflector Entertainment for an undisclosed sum. Bandai made the acquisition through its European arm as a part of an ongoing strategy to diversify and globalize its development, with the publisher aiming to ensure at least 50% of its content is developed outside of its home market in Japan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflector Entertainment was founded in 2016 by Alexandre Amancio and Lune Rouge, and is focused on building \u201cStoryworlds\u201d that people can interact with across a variety of media, including video games, novels, podcasts, movies, and more. The reflector and its 120 employees are currently working on a new franchise, Unknown 9, which has been designed as a cross-media property. The series has already produced comic books, podcasts and the first novel in a trilogy, with the studio also working on a video game, Unknown 9: Awakening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
