Build a Rocket Boy is an Edinburgh and Budapest-based games studio, founded by Former Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies in 2016, which has already hired over 130 people including former GTA developers such as programmer Colin Entwistle, lead cinematics animator Felipe Busquets, music director Craig Conner and audio director Matthew Smith. Firstly, the studio had a name Royal Circus Games, but Rockstar threatened legal action in 2019 over the studio’s name, claiming that Royal Circus Games’ acronym (RCG) was too close to Rockstar Games (RSG), so the name change was announced in October 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now Leslie announces he has raised \u00a332 million ($40.8 million) from Cayman fund Makers, New York cryptocurrency investor Galaxy Interactive and Chinese gaming giant Netease. Funding will be used for the development of studio’s first game – an open-world sci-fi title Everywhere.
