In an attempt to increase its footprint in the free-to-play market, 505 Games has purchased Infinity Plus Two (previously known as Infinite Interactive) for $4.5 million. The Melbourne-based video game developer Infinity Plus Two is behind the gem stackers hits Puzzle Quest and Gems of War. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Infinity Plus Two is focused on developing mobile games with over 30 mobile titles under its belt. It’s The Puzzle Quest series has grossed more than $200 million in revenue with over 32 million users worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“After working closely together on Gems of War for the past 7 years, we are excited to officially become part of the 505 Games family,” said Steve Fawkner, who is also Creative Lead at Infinity Plus Two. “We not only share the same personal and professional values but also work really well together. We’re looking forward to building on that foundation with both ongoing projects and all new unannounced projects already in the works.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Founder Steve Fawkner will remain with the company as part of the 505 Games’ management team and will continue developing games under the 505 Games banner. With Infinity Plus Two’s acquisition, 505 Games hopes that the deal will expand its presence in the lucrative free-to-play (F2P) mobile gaming market. The Milan-based video game publisher was already the publisher for Gems of War and is also available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
