Paris-based Homa Games has raised $15 million in a seed round of funding to realize its ambitious plan of enhancing its capabilities for building more hyper casual mobile games. Idinvest Partners and E.ventures led the seed round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the company, the funds will help it diversify and expand its portfolio, which now includes more than 30 hyper casual games. The mobile game developer and publisher also unveiled its plans of creating ‘new tech’ to enhance user acquisition and monetization, as well as improve its prototyping and development capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CEO Daniel Nathan said the investment would enable Homa Games to hire new talent, increase its development team’s size, invest in intellectual property licensing, and develop new games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Hyper casual is paving the way for a new production flow to release fun games at a very fast speed. At Homa, we are creating technologies to push this vision a step further, and our goal is to disrupt the content creation process to release the most entertaining apps to a massive audience,” Nathan said. “We unlock the creativity of developers around the world. This Seed round will enable us to invest further in talents, IP licensing, and products.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
“We provide a 360-service including game design recommendations, creative ads production, tech support \u2014 everything for a studio to focus on what they love the most, which is developing games,” Nathan commented. “Most of our studio-partners come from a historical relation between us through curated loyalty and trust. Nevertheless, we are always on the lookout for new talents with our sharp business development team.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Typically hyper casual games are easy and free-to-play games, and Homa Games already has published titles like Tower Color, Sky Roller, and Nerf Epic Pranks. The games have over 250 million downloads.
