People Can Fly<\/a> has announced that it acquired Phosphor Studios. The terms of the deal have not been undisclosed. The Polish developer of Outriders and Bulletstorm said Phosphor Studios would be renamed People Can Fly Chicago after the acquisition is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Taking over the Phosphor Studios’ team is simply an execution of our strategy, announced during PCF Group’s recent IPO,” added I, People Can Fly’s CEO, Sebastian Wojciechowski. “With the variety of ongoing projects, we need well-seasoned, ambitious professionals to bring our plans to fruition. Considering Phosphor’s team experience and quality I’m sure they will be a great addition to the PCF family and will facilitate our growth. Welcome on board!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2009, Phosphor Studios, which is known for creating “dark, quirky, and whimsical games”, has worked for games like the mobile horror game The Brookhaven Experiment (2017) and Dark Meadow (2011). The Chicago-based studio is People Can Fly’s third acquisition in the United States, and the seventh studio globally. People Can Fly also has teams working in Rzeszow, Lodz, New York, Montreal, and Newcastle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A new chapter opens for our team,” said Justin Corcoran, Phosphor Studios CEO. “We are very excited to be joining People Can Fly to open a brand new Triple-A studio – People Can Fly Chicago. Our goal is to strengthen PCF’s presence in the US and help build People Can Fly as a global brand.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People Can Fly went public in December 2020 on the Warsaw Stock Exchange for a valuation of $53 million.
