Zordix AB<\/a> has announced they acquired the UK-based developer and publisher Merge Games<\/a>. The acquisition sum has not been disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the deal, the Umea, Sweden-based publisher, will acquire 100% of all the shares in Merge games.  Zordix, in an announcement, said the acquisition will enhance the company’s ‘publishing capacity’ and provide a new frontier to accelerate its growth prospects through partnerships with other companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both the CEO and founder of Zordix Matti Larsson and MD and founder of Merge Games released separate statements regarding the acquisition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are very happy and proud today to welcome Merge Games to the Zordix family. I am greatly impressed by Luke and Joanne’s ability to jointly develop such a successful publishing business for an international market. The fact that they are driven by the same enthusiasm as the other entrepreneurs in the group to build a profitable and expanded business together is absolutely fantastic. With Merge Games, an important piece of the puzzle is in place that means that we will achieve really great success in the future.” Larsson commented.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

CEO of Zordix Matti Larsson said he is very happy welcoming Merge Games to the group, and he’s impressed by the founders, Luke and Joanne Keighran’s ability to turn Merge Games into a successful global publishing business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Managing Director of Merge Games Luke Keighran also said he’s extremely proud to be part of Zordix, and the partnership will help his studio expedite its growth in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merge’s wide range of publishing and distribution experience combined with the Zordix group’s ambitions will enable us to expediate our growth over the coming years.” Keighran said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
