San Francisco-based Clockwork Labs has raised $4.3 million in funding to develop an unannounced sandbox MMORPG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fully remote independent game studio is backed by industry pioneers such as Supercell<\/a>, 1Up Ventures<\/a>, Firstmute Capital, Skycatcher, and Supernode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clockwork Labs was founded by former data science engineer Tyler Cloutier and software engineer Alessandro Asoni. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cloutier and Asoni worked for prominent projects such as Game of War and Mobile Strike, as well as for companies like Machine Zone, and Bloomberg. Furthermore, the studio has already attracted talent from game companies with the likes of Kakao Games and Ubisoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
