Airnow, a UK-based mobile app management outfit, has bought Spanish mobile growth platform Lab Cave. The term of the acquisition is unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lab Cave is a Madrid-based company that specializes in App Store optimization, monetization, and user acquisition. As it expands, Lab Cave’s 30-member staff adopted a hybrid working model to accommodate larger project workloads in the mobile games sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luis Bert\u00f3, CEO of Lab Cave, will continue to lead the company in the future but is now expected to work closely with the Airnow board. Furthermore, Bert\u00f3 will collaborate with Airnow to develop new tools, as well as focus on team growth, and training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Lab Cave team is extremely excited about this new chapter. Airnow wants to invest and grow alongside us while allowing Lab Cave the space to use our knowledge to drive the business forward to achieve our shared goals,” said Luis Bert\u00f3, Lab Cave CEO. “This will allow our publishing division to focus on external titles, get more games into the mobile market with proper support, and help the hundreds of talented studios who are so close to having a hit but just need some assistance. Ultimately, we want to become the key hub for worldwide developers, and with Airnow by our side, we know we can achieve this goal.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In other news, gaming company Team17 <\/a>purchased independent developer The Label<\/a>, the creator of the What the Golf? game, for $24 million, which can be extended to $40 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
