Tencent now owns 51.2% of Supercell-controlling consortium

Tencent has raised its stake in Halti S.A., bringing its ownership of the firm from 50 percent to 51.2 percent.

That consortium, Halti S.A., grabbed its 84.1 percent stake in Supercell for $8.6 billion not long after it was established in 2016. As the Bejing-based production Caixin Global notes, the consortium was made one month earlier with the objective of securing control of the studio.

As indicated by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange recording specifying the issue, the slight offer procurement makes Supercell parent Halti S.A. an authority Tencent auxiliary. Tencent had recently kept up its 50 percent responsibility for S.A. for a considerable length of time, just increasing its offer to a larger part in the course of the most recent month through the procurement of 44,000 offers produced by a $40 million convertible bond.
