THQ Nordic acquires Pow Wow Entertainment

Embracer Group wholly owned subsidiary THQ Nordic GmbH acquires 100% of Austria-based Pow Wow Entertainment for an undisclosed consideration.

The studio is currently working on two unannounced games: one in an existing THQ Nordic-owned franchise and the other a roguelike multiplayer platformer set in a constantly changing world.

The acquisition includes the development studio with its team of around 20 developers, and all IP rights. The acquisition price will not be disclosed, and Pow Wow will remain an independent development studio under THQ Nordic. The team will keep its full creative freedom and will self-publish their games going forward.
