Sony reports it’s purchasing Spider-Man engineer Insomniac Games

Sony has reported that it's securing long-term free engineer Insomniac Games.

In a public statement out today, Sony states that the Burbank-based studio will be the fourteenth studio to join Sony Interactive Entertainment, following a 20-year relationship that delivered select games running from Spyro the Dragon to Marvel’s Spider-Man. 

Value additionally affirms that for the occasion, Insomniac’s “structure and approach” will continue as before at the two its Burbank and Durham workplaces.

Per the public statement, it seems Insomniac will concentrate on PlayStation-selective games going ahead. As Sony Interactive Entertainment executive Shawn Layden states, “the expansion of Insomniac Games to SIE WWS emphasizes our responsibility to creating world class gaming encounters that must be found on the PlayStation stage.” 

In an announcement on Insomniac Games’ site, studio CEO and originator Ted Price expresses that joining Sony “reaches out a long ways past commonality.
